Heartbeat of the East World Dance Studio is pleased to announce that this year's Northern Migration Tribal/Alt Dance Festival will be held at Asbury Hall at The Church! The Church, located in the heart of downtown Buffalo, New York, was saved from the wrecking ball by the Righteous Babe herself, Ms. Ani DiFranco. We are very pleased to say that the Righteous Babe Foundation will be the corporate sponsor of Northern Migration 2007.

Teachers will include Gypsy Caravan, Unmata, Zafira, Kassar, Frederique David, Sashi - from Ascend Tribal Dance, Tribal Feat, and Daveed Korup - Turku.

This weekend long event takes place at Camp Merimac, a lovely campground on a lake just outside Asheville, and features sleeping cabins, a theater, authentic and awesome world cuisine, child care, hiking trails and more!

We are planning a weekend packed with Tribal Dance, Music, and Culture classes, as well as children's programming and activities, and classes geared towards keeping non-dancers occupied and entertained, such as swordplay, juggling, fire arts, and more!
